Relai Secures $12M Series A to Expand Bitcoin Investment Platform Across Europe
Swiss-based Relai, a self-custodial Bitcoin investment platform, has successfully raised $12 million in a Series A funding round, led by Ego Death Capital with a $4 million contribution. Additional funding came from Plan B Bitcoin Fund, Timechain, and Solit Group, signaling strong investor confidence in Relai’s mission to make Bitcoin investments accessible to a wider audience.
Despite a challenging funding environment for fintech, Relai is setting ambitious goals to expand beyond Switzerland, broaden its European presence, and secure MiCA licensing by early 2025. This license will position Relai as one of the first Bitcoin-focused platforms to comply with Europe’s evolving regulatory framework, reinforcing its leadership in the market.
The fresh funding will also enable Relai to scale its app to over 400 million users, enhance its product offerings, and strengthen its position as Europe’s premier Bitcoin-only platform for individuals and businesses alike.
Relai’s innovative approach targets millennials and Bitcoin newcomers, emphasizing a self-custodial model that empowers users with full control over their assets. This strategic focus aligns with growing demand for secure and user-friendly crypto investment solutions.
In addition to its latest funding milestone, Relai has been recognized as a top performer in the fintech sector. The company participated in Venture Leaders Fintech in London (December 2024) and has been ranked among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups from 2022 to 2024.
With its vision for the future and a robust funding base, Relai is poised to revolutionize Bitcoin investing across Europe.
