Thunes and Ripple Join Forces to Enhance Global Payment Reach
Thunes, the global “Smart Superhighway” for money movement, and Ripple, a leading provider of digital asset infrastructure, have expanded their partnership to enhance cross-border payments worldwide. Building on their collaboration since 2020, the strengthened alliance aims to improve payout experiences, streamline global money flows, and extend reach across new markets.
As demand for digital financial services grows, Thunes has integrated blockchain and digital asset technologies into its Direct Global Network. By combining this network with Ripple’s blockchain-powered payments, the partnership enables faster, more efficient, and more accessible transactions for financial institutions and businesses. Ripple’s enterprise clients can now withdraw funds in more currencies and markets, boosting their international payment capabilities.
Thunes plays a crucial role in ensuring real-time, local-currency payouts, particularly in regions with limited banking infrastructure. Through Ripple Payments, it will also enhance its SmartX Treasury System. Ripple’s platform, which already processes over $70 billion across 90+ payout markets covering 90% of global FX flows, delivers secure, low-cost, and compliant cross-border transfers.
Chloe Mayenobe, President and COO at Thunes, said:
“Thunes bridges traditional finance and the digital assets ecosystem. Our expanded alliance with Ripple underscores our commitment to real-time, compliant, and scalable cross-border payments.”
Fiona Murray, Managing Director, Asia Pacific at Ripple, added:
“Together with Thunes, we are reshaping the future of global payments. By combining Ripple’s digital asset infrastructure with Thunes’ trusted global network, we are improving speed, accessibility, and compliance for financial services worldwide.”
