Italian regtech startup Aptus.AI has announced the launch of its activities in Luxembourg. The company, which already counts Intesa Sanpaolo and Generali Investments among its clients, offers a generative AI assistant designed to support banks, insurers, asset managers, law firms, and compliance departments.

Aptus.AI’s patented technology transforms legal texts into structured data that can be directly processed by artificial intelligence. This enables institutions to track regulatory changes in real time, receive tailored alerts, compare versions of texts, and automate repetitive tasks. According to the company, the tool provides accurate, verifiable answers while ensuring that customer data is not used to train AI models.

Co-founder and CEO Andrea Tesei said Luxembourg’s role as a financial centre with strong regulatory standards makes it an ideal location for the company’s international growth.

Founded in Pisa by Andrea Tesei and Lorenzo De Mattei, Aptus.AI is backed by CDP Venture Capital, the P101 fund and Azimut Investments, the Luxembourg-based subsidiary of Azimut Group. The company has participated in EU projects such as Chat-EUR-Lex and LLMs4EU, and in 2024 received the Innovation of the Year award at the Fintech Awards.
