Evrotrust and Trustfull Partner to Strengthen Digital Identity and Fraud Prevention Across Europe
Evrotrust, a well-established European Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) delivering digital identity and trust services, and Trustfull, a leader in digital risk intelligence and fraud prevention, have formed a strategic partnership to help organisations strengthen fraud prevention and identity verification across digital customer journeys.
The partnership combines Evrotrust’s trusted digital identity infrastructure and strong presence across Central and Southeast Europe with Trustfull’s real-time digital intelligence, enabling organisations to assess risk before, during and after identity verification.
Evrotrust enables businesses and public institutions to remotely verify and authenticate users through eIDAS-compliant digital identity services, qualified electronic signatures and other regulated trust services. Evrotrust’s digital identity is already used by more than 300 organisations and over 1.8 million registered users, with identity verification capabilities supporting documents from more than 60 countries.
Trustfull adds an additional layer of intelligence by analysing hundreds of digital signals associated with phone numbers, email addresses and IP addresses. These signals can help identify disposable contact information, inconsistencies between identity attributes, proxy usage and other indicators of elevated fraud risk.
Trustfull can also be used before formal KYC begins, allowing organisations to assess the risk associated with a prospective customer at the earliest stage of the onboarding journey. This pre-KYC layer can help businesses identify higher-risk applicants earlier and apply more targeted verification or enhanced due diligence where appropriate.
Together, the companies will provide customers with a more complete view of digital identity risk, from pre-KYC risk assessment and identity verification through to subsequent customer interactions, helping organisations make more informed, risk-based decisions throughout the customer lifecycle.
The collaboration is particularly relevant for organisations operating across financial services, lending, payments, telecommunications and public-sector digital services, where identity assurance, AML controls and fraud prevention are increasingly interconnected.
Building on Evrotrust’s strong footprint across Central and Southeast Europe and Trustfull’s cross-border digital intelligence, the partnership will help serve existing customers more effectively while supporting both companies’ expansion into new European markets.
Lovro Persen, Director Documents and Fraud at Evrotrust, commented: “As digital identity becomes more widely adopted across financial services, government and other regulated sectors, customers increasingly need to understand not only whether an identity is verified, but also the digital risk surrounding an interaction. Combining Evrotrust’s trusted identity capabilities with Trustfull’s digital intelligence allows us to give customers that broader context while supporting secure digital growth across markets.”
The partnership is also aligned with the evolution of Europe’s digital identity framework under eIDAS 2.0. As reusable digital identities and the EU Digital Identity Wallet become more widely adopted, organisations will increasingly need to complement verified identity with additional risk intelligence whenever those credentials are used across digital services.
Alex Tonello, SVP Global Partnerships at Trustfull, commented: “Evrotrust has built a highly trusted digital identity platform with particularly strong reach across Central and Southeast Europe. By combining their identity capabilities with Trustfull’s pre-KYC and digital risk intelligence, we can help organisations detect risk earlier, focus verification where it is needed most and build stronger fraud controls across the customer journey.”
Customers will be able to combine Evrotrust’s identity verification capabilities with Trustfull’s digital risk intelligence within their existing onboarding and fraud prevention workflows. The two companies will also pursue joint commercial opportunities across Europe, with an initial focus on regulated industries and organisations operating across multiple markets.
