Barclaycard Payments and Visa bring Unified Checkout to UK merchants, simplifying payment acceptance
Visa, a world leader in digital payments, today announced that Barclaycard Paymentshas deployed its Unified Checkout solution, enabling its UK merchant customers to unlock seamless payment acceptance and improve ecommerce conversion. The new agreement builds on six decades of joint innovation between Visa and Barclaycard across payments and acceptance.
Barclaycard Paymentswill embed Unified Checkout into their Smartpay Fuse payment gateway, providing merchants with a single integration to access a range of payment capabilities. Using the solution, merchants can offer customers popular payment options including cards, Click to Pay, digital wallets, while also supporting additional payment experiences such as Pay by Link and invoicing.
The low-code solution simplifies the integration for merchants, enabling them to access new payment capabilities without the need for significant development resources. Its modular API-driven architecture provides flexibility to adapt to evolving customer preferences to drive conversion and support business growth. By bringing together multiple payment experiences and built-in value-added services within a single integration, merchants can create more consistent customer journeys across different payment channels and reduce friction at checkout.
