In celebration of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, global payments platform Ecommpay has announced its commitment to providing neurodiversity awareness training for all employees, partners, and clients. This initiative is part of the company’s broader commitment to diversity and inclusion, and it will kick off during World Autism Acceptance Month in April.

The training program, which is a key aspect of the ongoing Ecommpay for Good initiative, aims to promote financial inclusivity and will be mandatory for both current and new employees. It complements existing courses like unconscious bias training. The program will be led by Cressida Stephenson, CEO and Founder of EdenChase Associates, who brings both lived experience and expertise in inclusive talent practices.

The training will focus on fostering a neuro-inclusive workplace by enhancing understanding of neurodivergence, identifying common traits, and offering guidance on supporting neurodivergent individuals throughout their employment journey. Additionally, the program will address the benefits of neurodiverse teams and strategies for creating an inclusive work environment.

Cressida Stephenson emphasized the importance of understanding neurodiversity, highlighting that a significant portion of the population identifies as neurodivergent. She noted that businesses must adapt to ensure they do not miss out on talent or customers. Ecommpay’s initiative positions the company to better serve both its workforce and client base, while promoting inclusivity.

Miranda McLean, Ecommpay’s Chief Marketing Officer, reiterated the company’s focus on equity, diversity, and accessibility, stressing the importance of neurodiversity training for both internal teams and external partners. The training will be engaging and valuable, fostering a more inclusive culture at Ecommpay and across its network.

This initiative coincides with World Autism Acceptance Month, which highlights the need to create an inclusive society for autistic individuals. The National Autistic Society’s campaign encourages fundraising and raising awareness to support the autistic community and their families.
