Fiserv clients will soon have a more streamlined way to integrate PayPal, Venmo, and related services, thanks to a new connection point with Fastlane by PayPal. This development aims to accelerate guest checkout flows in the U.S.

The enhancement stems from an expanded global strategic partnership between Fiserv and PayPal, as announced in a press release today.

Jennifer LaClair, Head of Merchant Solutions at Fiserv, commented, “Our extended collaboration with PayPal aligns with our mission to enhance client value by delivering advanced solutions that elevate and expedite the commerce experience.”

Fastlane by PayPal enables users to complete purchases with a single click and reduces checkout time for guest shoppers by 32%.

This latest offering builds on a long-standing relationship between Fiserv and PayPal, which already supports various products and services across millions of businesses.

Frank Keller, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Large Enterprise and Merchant Platform Group at PayPal, said, “We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with Fiserv and extend our innovative solutions to a wider audience. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to improving checkout convenience by working with leading payment service providers and eCommerce platforms.”

This announcement follows PayPal’s recent move to make Fastlane available through the FinTech platform Adyen, which will begin offering it to its U.S. enterprise and marketplace customers, with plans for a global rollout.

Introduced in January, Fastlane redefines the checkout experience by enabling one-click guest checkouts and eliminating common disruptions such as updating credit card details and dealing with password prompts.

On August 6, PayPal expanded Fastlane’s availability to businesses using its Complete Payments or Braintree platforms.
