Visa and Revolut Partner to Offer Real-Time Cross-Border Transactions for Businesses
Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has teamed up with Revolut, the financial app serving over 45 million retail and hundreds of thousands of business customers worldwide, to introduce Instant Card Transfers for Revolut Business users.
Traditionally, international business transfers have been plagued by high fees, lengthy delays, and the need for specific details like IBAN and BIC. However, with Visa Direct, a network enabling real-time payments, Revolut Business customers can now send money globally in real-time and securely, using only a card number. Transactions are completed within 30 minutes or less, making this a cost-effective and unique solution available in over 78 countries and supporting more than 50 currencies.
This partnership builds on the existing collaboration between Revolut and Visa, which includes card transfers for peer-to-peer payments to nearly 90 countries and the launch of Visa virtual cards for the B2B travel sector in 2024.
Mark Jamison, Senior Vice President, Global Clients at Visa, stated, “We’re delighted that Visa Direct’s global reach, security, and reliability will enable Revolut’s business customers to move money worldwide with speed and confidence. This step deepens our collaboration with Revolut to continue their impressive track record of growth and product differentiation.”
James Gibson, General Manager at Revolut Business, added, “We’re excited to launch Instant Card Transfers, providing our business customers with a fast, secure, and convenient way to handle international transactions.”
