Viva.com, Europe’s pioneering acquirer facilitating payments across all channels and devices in 24 markets, and a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), announced today its integration with Oracle Payment Interface (OPI). This collaboration will extend Viva.com’s payment platform to OPERA 5 On-Premise, Oracle’s premier property management system.

Viva.com ensures seamless, automated in-person payments tailored to enhance guest experiences. This integration aims to help millions of hoteliers and restaurateurs across Europe unify and optimize their operations, fostering growth.

The integration with Oracle’s OPERA 5 On-Premise allows hoteliers to leverage Viva.com’s Tap on Any Device technology, enabling in-person payments on any existing device, from bookings to reservations and ordering systems. Activating Viva.com’s Terminal app transforms any smart device into a card terminal, providing multiple POS terminals without additional hardware costs.

This integrated solution ensures hotels can minimize lost sales, complete transactions anywhere within the establishment, and offer guests the ability to pay in their preferred currency with full exchange rate transparency. Guests can use their preferred payment methods, including leading local options and Alternative Payment Methods (APM).

“Viva.com’s plug-and-play omnichannel platform enhances how businesses across Europe operate and profit. Our collaboration with Oracle exemplifies this, helping Oracle’s customers provide a best-in-class guest experience,” said Harry Xenophontos, Chief Partnerships Officer at Viva.com.

Viva.com’s end-to-end solution includes cost-efficient payments from 40+ methods, support from booking to checkout, and features like Dynamic Currency Conversion, Merchant Multicurrency, and Surcharge. These services ensure businesses can offer the best experience to their guests, utilizing leading in-house technology and partnerships.

  • Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC): Supports 51 cardholder currencies, allowing customers to pay in their home currency.
  • Merchant Multicurrency: Enables businesses to offer products and services in multiple currencies on their websites.
  • Surcharge: Allows merchants to transfer acquiring fees associated with certain card types to cardholders transparently.

Availability of these features depends on the market. This collaboration is the latest step Viva.com has taken to support Europe’s hospitality sector, delivering tailored, efficient solutions for a diverse, multinational clientele.
