Akurateco makes its payment API readable by AI assistants

Akurateco, a leading white-label payment software vendor, has made its developer documentation directly readable by AI coding assistants, so that developers integrating its payment API can query it from inside the tools they already work in.

The capability is built on Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external data sources. Developers can now link Akurateco’s documentation to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other MCP-compatible clients, and ask questions about endpoints, parameters and integration flows in natural language. Answers are drawn from the current published documentation rather than from a model’s training data — which addresses a familiar problem for anyone integrating a payment API with AI help, where a general-purpose assistant confidently returns an endpoint that was renamed two versions ago, or one that never existed.

The documentation home page carries a one-click setup option that copies the required configuration for the developer’s AI tool of choice. A separate page explains what MCP is and how the connection works, as the standard is still new to many integration teams.

The capability is aimed at technical teams at PSPs, acquiring banks and enterprise merchants that license Akurateco’s white-label platform. Integration work — connecting acquirers, alternative payment methods and internal systems through the platform’s API — is increasingly done with AI-assisted tooling, and documentation that agents can read directly shortens the path from first read to first successful test transaction.

“Integration time is rarely spent writing code — it is spent looking things up,” said Andrew Riabchuk, Founder and CTO at Akurateco. “If a developer’s assistant can read our documentation as it actually is, that lookup time collapses, and the answers stop being guesses.”
