Fingular expands into Bangladesh
Fingular, a Singapore-based global neobank, is set to launch a digital lending business in Bangladesh through a partnership with a local licensed Non-Banking Financial Institution. This move aims to boost financial inclusion in one of the world’s most underserved countries. Fingular will leverage its global fintech expertise while the local partner handles lending. The new venture, branded DharDesh (“Land of Loans”), reflects Fingular’s commitment to customer-centric financial services.
Fingular has also applied for a digital bank license in Bangladesh, with services exclusively through digital platforms. This expansion follows its recent entry into Qatar and reaching 4 million users across Southeast and South Asia. CEO Maxim Chernuschenko highlights Bangladesh’s rapid economic growth and potential, while investor Vadim Gurinov emphasizes the mission to serve over 2 billion underserved people worldwide.
