Newland NPT expands North American payments infrastructure with Futurex remote key injection platform
Newland Payment Technology (NPT), a global provider of payment terminals and technology solutions, has partnered with Futurex, a leader in enterprise data security, to deliver a hosted remote key injection (RKI) service for payment terminals across North America.
Before a payment terminal can accept transactions, it must be loaded with the cryptographic keys that protect cardholder data. Traditionally, this has meant injecting keys at a secure facility before devices are shipped to merchants – adding cost, logistics and delay to every deployment. RKI enables those keys to be delivered to terminals remotely and securely, so terminals can be shipped direct and brought into service sooner.
The solution will support secure payment deployments for processors, ISOs, ISVs, merchants, distributors and channel partners throughout the United States and Canada.
The partnership expands Newland’s North American offering by adding hosted Remote Key Injection (RKI) services to its payment platform, alongside its Android SmartPOS terminals, the PayExplorer EMV payment application, the PayExplorer SDK for semi-integrated payment solutions, and its terminal operational management system (TOMS). Together, these provide partners with a complete ecosystem for securely deploying, managing and updating terminal estates at scale.
