NuCel Debuts Physical Chip, Expands Customer Purchase Options
Nubank, one of the world’s largest digital financial services platforms, announces the expansion of NuCel features with the launch of the physical chip. From now on, customers in Brazil will be able to purchase the chip directly through the NuCel tab in the app and have it shipped directly home, at no cost and in just a few days.
“The launch of the physical chip is another milestone in the evolution of NuCel, expanding purchasing options. We have observed great customer receptivity and adoption, and our satisfaction indices are at levels much higher than the industry benchmark, reinforcing our mission to transform the mobile telecommunications segment with the best service and customer care,” says Paulo Barbosa, general manager of NuCel.
In addition to the eSIM, which was announced at the official launch of NuCel in October 2024, the option of purchasing NuCel via physical chip will initially be offered to customers who have already registered interest through the app. Gradually, it will be expanded to all Nu customers in Brazil.
In addition, NuCel has evolved its plan options, bringing improvements for customers. The 15GB plan now offers 20GB for R$45, and the 20GB plan has increased to 25GB for the same R$55. The 35GB option was reduced in price from R$75 to R$70. Previous contracts have already been updated, ensuring customers can always rely on the best available offer. Payment continues to be automatically made via Nu credit card billing.
All plans include:
- Unlimited calls, valid for local and long-distance calls.
- Unlimited WhatsApp, including voice and video calls.
- Unlimited access to the Nubank app.
- Access to an exclusive “Caixinha” or savings box, yielding 120% of the CDI on deposits, with a limit of up to R$10,000.
- Coverage of 93% of the country and the fastest 5G connection in Brazil.
With flexible plans, no loyalty requirements, and activation in just a few clicks, NuCel offers benefits from the Nubank ecosystem. Customers who are part of the Ultravioleta and Nubank+ categories will have extra GBs automatically unlocked when they reach full data package usage. The service also presents real-time suggestions based on usage, allowing adjustments at any time.
